The Magic Trackpad rules. Love it. Don't even use the mouse. It seems like you have to move the mouse so far to get it across the screen and with the Magic Trackpad its just gets you around the screen faster.
I guess it's great, except for 1 thing.

Now, isn't that something. What a great way of proving the 'Get a Mac' commercials wrong. If anything, the myth that Macs are invulnerable is strengthened when they make up lies and are caught.

It's normally a silvery/metal color isn't it? - yet it's highlighted orange on the banner... I did a quick Google search and the only other image I could find featuring a similar orange icon is this one:

I've never really used iSync though, so don't know what all this means or whether there are actually orange versions of the icon found within the app. Anyone care to shed any light?

I can see Apple moving into third over the next two years.
Meanwhile Dell and HP are seeing increased market share with decreased units sold. So the market share for these two will likely increase at the expense of other companies doing more poorly. But there will likely be another Windows PC manufacturer that will pick up steam with a gimmicky ad campaign and bring them back to around 25% market share.
Regardless of OS, I'd hate to see the market share of any one company increase to 50% or have only three manufacturers dominate by a large margin.
What I'd like to see are statistics on resale value. How many used PCs by HP, Dell, Apple, etc. are resold and for what percentage of the original value? You see this with automobiles. New cars advertise resale value.

Whether or not Britain is the "most tolerant" country among a field containing some much worse, blacks (and Irish) were openly discriminated against, and certainly in the case of blacks, still are. Many in the UK would rather that the natives from their former colonies just remembered their place.

I have Final Cut Pro and it comes with quicktime pro... my system is telling me all my software is up to date yet iTunes says i need to download the new quicktime. if i download the new quicktime and it isn't pro will it automatically give me pro features?

Ordered a 2 gig at the new lower price. This will be a surprise for my brother, whose 2 gig nano (that he got free with MacBook purchase) was run over by a car a few weekends ago. He was quite unhappy. I take some responsibility for it because, following my lead, we ran across the busy street rather than walking to the nearby traffic light. The iPod fell out of his pocket when he broke into the run.

well if they copied nintendo the 3d would not need glasses. it also would be adjustable. meaning you could lower the 3d effect or outright turn it off. if there is a way to turn the effect off it would appeal to everyone. dont like it? shut the effect off. if you think about it todays 3d tvs are already outdated. nintendo figured out a way to show 3d without the use of glasses. its only a matter of time before its upscaled.

Manufacturing build wealth, generate revenue and helps a nation defend itself in time of war, we have shipped most of that overseas. So what happens when we have to go to war on a world scale? The U.S has been protecting Taiwan for several years and what have the done for the U.S? Nothing!
If we go to war on a global scale, I wouldn't really worry about the economics. We have been protecting Taiwan-Quemoy-Matsu since 1949 for our own political, military and espionage purposes. They're not required to provide cheap labor in return.

Great, another store that carries iPad 2 but won't ever have any in stock. LOL.
Unfortunately I think 80% of iPad 2 supply is going to scalpers and resellers, the moment Apple stores get them in stock they sell out and craigslist is then flooded with heavily marked up iPads. It's kind of ridiculous.
On a related note, isn't it a bit weird Apple hasn't announced any sales figures yet? They're usually quick to brag when devices hit a million sales in a short amount of time.
I work across the street from a RS. They are supposed to get them in around noon. The manager said he would call me as soon as there in. Now thats customer service, if he really calls

I just noticed that on the Walmart.com site it says you can't buy iPods online - has this always been the case? Also on their front page is a big ad for the Zune that says "Get Zune at Walmart as soon as its released". What's this all about? Have they always not had ipods available online? I have no idea...but could be a clue.

It's a combination of a nicety, and to keep pace with the others. WP7 and Android based devices have this now, so it only makes sense. I'm sure folks will complain, and poke fun at Apple [e.g. "Magical"]...lol. But, it's a good thing.
If they can do this, add solid notifications, allow some minimal customization, and lastly some form of a "Widget" based system, it'll kill. I personally think the last part is a waste, but that's me. I don't even use the widgets on OSX, and tried them on an Android device. I found it more of an annoyance than anything. But that's just my personal opinion. Some people love them...

i have a week 26 white 2.0 MB. it has a screw on the bottom in the dead center. it was never serviced.
Dunno what week it is, but I got it in October. I got screwed too, right in the middle right out of the box. Hasn't been serviced. As I said though, it was nice and quiet before the firmware update...
