I feel bad for all of you GSM iPhone users. I really do.
Meanwhile I'm enjoying a flawless iPhone experience on my CDMA iPhone 4. ;)
I upgraded to 4.2.7 four hours ago and my battery has gone down from 52% to 48% (with moderate usage). So.. yeah. Pretty much unchanged at this point. :D

I had to sell my beloved iPhone and kick AT&T to the curb because I get zero service here in my home just outside of Phoenix. I was so fed up with the dropped calls and AT&T had nothing but excuses for me, they also told me to wait til the next quarter so I could purchase a cell booster for home. What a joke.

Nope, I've never enabled them before on my iPad as I'm not an official Apple developer and I didn't have access to the beta release that included this feature in the past.

Not yet, but assuming that there won't be within a reasonable timeframe seems silly. Why on earth would you want a new standard that we're going to have to live with for the next 10-20 yrs that has its bandwidth saturated almost on day of release? Also, I think that looking at this as *just* another way of connecting external drives is to be massively missing the big picture with Thunderbolt. Finally, Thunderbolt is capable of much more than 1.25GBps. I believe in theory it can eventually scale to 100Gbps over optical.

I'm going to assume it doesn't mean that you actually control the thing without touching it, rather it just makes the wheel disappear when you aren't holding it. That seems to be a more useful idea.

Yeah, if you read the whole patent (http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=1902), you'll notice that it makes mention of "force sensors" underneath the display to tell if it is a "light" or "hard" touch. A finger being waved above an object doesn't have force to sense, and in looking at the more tablet-oriented part of the patent, you can see that a hand is clearly holding the object (http://images.appleinsider.com/patent-ipod-touch19.gif). The document also makes several references to the input devices appearing or disappearing based on the proximity of a finger.
It would seem that the main purpose of this is to make overlays like this possible:

I'm 99% certain iPhone 5 is announced at WWDC. Doesn't make sense to go further out, especially with Android bringing up the rear in a big hurry.

Have you used a 4.3" phone. They don't seem that much physically bigger but the screen size is awesome! Apple keeps getting squeezed with adding new technology because of the size limitations of the phone. Giving us a slightly bigger size with the advantage of a bigger screen size AND more components seems like an excellent tradeoff.
Yeah - I know if will never happen because SJ is compulsive obsessive with never making things bigger.

they probably had it in the labs, but the pricing finally came down this year. 3D is a dud and internet enabled TV's dropped in price by 50% in some cases since last summer

EDIT: Not too bad! Obviously, the raw file looks better. I was photographing this squirrel who was about 15-20 feet away from me and he/she ran to me, stopped, posed, and ran away. :) The squirrel was super close to me, like 4 feet or so.

18k PPD is pretty impressive. . . . if you run it in windows you could use the vid card too, probably pull close to 25k. I would love to see Pande Group put out a GPU client for mac OS X.... I'm getting sick of running windows 90% of the time on my Mac Pro.

Does anyone know if the home sharing play count bug has been fixed? I'd upgrade if it has but if it hasn't I'll stick with my 4.3.1 jailbreak.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about there was a bug where home sharing to device was not updating song play counts in iTunes like it's suppose to.

You had to manually tick a box which counted Home Sharing play counts on the iTunes overall one.

I'd just like the car I bought in February to be legal.
(college kid sold me a car with a restitution lien), this has screwed this whole year for me, i drive a beater I had to buy on 1 day notice and could die on me anyday. my goal this year was to get out of debt completely, I'm less than 500 away but now I have to come up with 1500 to get the car legal......for a car i paid 3k for. :(
So somehow I am trying to do this while being a single dad and put together a Christmas for my daughter :(

Id love to see a new standard for "HD". 1440p would be nice...but current media would have to catch up. That said, I dont think Apple could make a cost effective television. Sorry, but theyd sell a 42inch TV for 2000.000 easy.

You have to realize one thing. Without market share, company like Apple can not make profit.
Yeah... you have to sell products to make money... but nothing says you have to have the most market share in order to make money.
Let's say Android gets 35% of the market... and Apple only has 25% of the market...
Apple still can sell 20 million iPhones in a quarter and makes a crap-ton of money doing it. That's what I've been saying all along!
Read my other comments here and elsewhere... I HATE market share arguments. It infuriates me every time there is a headline saying "Android beats Apple" and "Android Grows while Apple Stalls"
It's crazy to compare the two anyway... Apple and Google have completely different business models.
My next phone will be an iPhone... I don't care if Android phones outsell the iPhone 2-to-1
