I changed into this outfit after I got home from work yesterday. Please forgive the wrinkled pants. It was the first time I've worn them. I bought them on sale for $8 at Forever21 last fall. I wasn't sure how to wear them....like wearing pants is hard or something...I'm just a nerd. Anyway, I really like them with my new top and Dany platforms! It's a great outfit for a spring day.

I wore this outfit last Wednesday and loved it! It was easy to put together and I felt confident. I got the "OMG, could you be any taller?" comment, of course. Gotta learn to live with it, I suppose. Just so you all know, I wasn't trying to awkwardly squat in a corner for these pictures but the sun wouldn't cooperate so there you go.

You get a twofer wardrobe post today! The first outfit was from Sunday, January 23 when I wore it to Bible Study. I think the sweater makes me look fat and it kind of blended in with my hair and face. Whatever. Looking back, I wish I would have done a top bun. Oh well, there's always next time. I absolutely LOVE this skirt. Not only was it on sale, but it's an extra small and actually fits me AND it has pockets. Who knows what made me even attempt to try on that size, but I think it might be magic.

I wore this outfit Friday, January 28. I spent the afternoon at the coffee shop working on miscellaneous stuff. Right before I left an older gentleman complimented me on my shoes. He told me they look Italian and also told me I had great style. It's little things like that, that make me feel so good! I can't wait to wear my Dany platforms more! They're surprisingly easy to walk in. I just hope I don't get too many, "Oh you're so tall already" kind of comments, which are inevitable considering the platforms put me around 6'4" or so. Giants are lovers too.

Fashion Friday: Christmas Dresses

I’ve always loved dressing up, but dressing up for Christmas Eve service at church is always extra special. When I was little my mom would usually make our Christmas dresses. Hello velvet and floral prints. This year I have absolutely NO IDEA what I’m going to wear tonight. Here are some fun dresses I found as I was searching for inspiration for what I should wear. I chose a mix of low and high dresses, not going over $100. As you can see, I love the lace! Also, I’m very proud of the fact there’s only one black dress in the mix. I wore this outfit on Saturday. It started out as a crummy day and just getting dressed was a challenge. I just kind of threw this together. I based it around the shoes, which I thrifted last week and hadn't worn yet. I had been dying to wear my new bf jeans again and picked the shirt to match the shoes. I added the top shirt because I was cold and loved the color combo it created. It had been laying on my bedroom floor for like two weeks to be hand washed. Yeah, gross I know (it was one of those days), but I was told it was the perfect amount of rumpled to look great. Haha. I loved how comfy, effortless and stylish this outfit was.
