babies

I finished off this month at work with quite a few babies. Overall it was a few less than last month and my sales were pitiful. However, I photographed my 101st baby on Sunday. It was a nice way to end work before my vacation. Here are the babies for the last part of the month. They're all out of order, so forgive me.

photo of the week

My photo of the week turned into two instead of just one. I took these back in July when I did family photos for my aunt's family. These two cuties are my cousin's kids, Kristopher and Kaitlyn. We don't see each other often, but they were visiting for Christmas this past week and so I thought I would post these now.

I told them to smile and this is what I got. Don't you love it?

In Their Shoes, A Work In Progress

This is a picture I took as a part of brainstorming for my thesis proposal project. Surprisingly, I think I actually know what I want to do, or kind of where I want to go with my thesis. The idea is from a project I did in my Concept class last fall. The project was titled, "In Their Shoes," stemming from the proverb about walking a mile in someone else's shoes. With my project, I hope to call people to think differently about who they interact with in their daily lives. Causing people to pause and try to understand more about who others are and where they came from before judging them. Obviously, I'm in the beginning stages of development and it's a work in progress. So this diptych is of my padre and his shoes.

Business Cards

I guess this is a follow-up to my Photography post a couple weeks ago. I recently ordered business cards for myself and I'm happy with how they turned out. Although, next time I order I'm definitely going to use WHCC which I already use for my prints. I decided to cover up my phone number for this post. I didn't really want it floating around the internet. However, feel free to contact me at: ashleethelovelee@gmail.com.
