We want to make IV famous at this event and need sales personnel to talk to visitors.
Please sign up on this thread if you would like to volunteer for this task.
We need all the help we can get. 30,000 + attendees expected to attend the event.
This will be on Nov 10 th 2007 from 3pm - 11pm. Please vote and let me know if you can be there for the entire duration or choose a time slot.

Glad you liked my thoughts. Just felt this might be a novel and practical campaign rather than doing flowers again or something else.
I think IV can even have such cubes available as IV merchandice and people can donate via a 'Send a F cube to USCIS' button probably !

At last my turn comes in January.....now the real fight begins.....any information abt how to get name check status....etc. my FP was done in Sep 2007....did not receive any new FP request...any insight on that gurus.

If you can take direct non-stop flight then avoid the transit visa. Sending originals by mail is always risky. Just my advise.

I think Air India is the best for elderly people.
I second that. The food is certainly tolerable than the European carriers and the familiar desi faces help the elderly not to hesitate and ask for anything they need.

1. AC21 - get it all done with new company ? Job title from Sr.Qa to SAP BI would it be a problem?
If any RFE comes, new company should be able to support as per job description/title in Labor which they won't I believe.
2. Temporary resignation and rejoining - is it really feasible?
I don't think you need to resign something in particular.
You can work with SAP company and when your date is becoming current move to QA Company and you should be good. Its like filing AC-21 to SAP company and again filing AC-21 to QA Company.
I know lot of people do this who are working on EAD. Generally you know your date will be current in next year. So you can work for SAP untill June/july-2011 and then move back to QA Company before date becomes current.
3. Stay with current company - try for contract positions even if it means that I have to stay long on bench. I have been already out since Aug.
Your choice and lets wait for some Guru's answers.

Iam also sailing in the same boat.i want to change my maiden name to married name now.Just about to file for i-485.My concerns and doubts are :-
- I need to send it by mail to sanfransisco and what if it gets delayed?
-Will name check be done on two names(married and maiden) and endup in delays and pending of my application?
-All my certificates,recent affidavits till now show my maiden name.But i got written in my son(usa born)'s birth certificate with married name as last name and maiden name maiden name itself.So will that create a problem?...
So with the above issues,can anyone suggest me if i can wait till I-485 approves or it doesnot matter if i change it now?If i travel to sanfransisco and visit consulate general in person and apply will they issue the new passport within the same day??

yes, everything is possible with USCIS but not at I-485 stage!! You can't say at I-485 why can't you hire americans?? They have to give different reason for denial.
and trust me they will find one....

First speak to your employer if they
a) sent a cancellation for H1B
b) If they received any notice from USCIS/request for information or if they have any information about this
c) Though it is not mandatory to file AC21 you can still file AC21 based on a consultation with an attorney.
Most important thing is to know if your employer has informed USCIS about any updates or if the company has received any notification from them

You don't need SSN to apply for a passport for a baby. PIO card takes about two weeks to process in SFO. I dont think there is any fast processing available for PIO.
Just currect your statement, SSN is mandatory for Passport issuance. Pls check the current guidelines.

I just got my Labor approved (PD - 2/22/2008) . Attorneys are working on filing I-140.
1. Shall I wait for I-140 PP to re-instate or go ahead with normal processing?
2. Is there 'ANY' chance that my PD will be current before I get I-140 approval when filed through normal processing?

1. Go ahead with normal. it can be bumped up to PP whenever PP is reinstated by paying $$$. You will save time this way, if PP is not reinstated until the time your 140 is normally processed.
2. Highly unlikely. However, if it does, you can still apply for 485 even if your 140 is pending. I read somewhere that CIS will remove 140/485 concurrent processing in future, but I have no idea about this.
